Turn your back on constant pain!
Low back pain causes more global disability than any other type of injury, and can be extremely debilitating - having severe effects on work, sleep, and relationships. If your back is sore, it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s where the problem originates from, as it can be a symptom of issues elsewhere in the body. The lower back is a super-compensator, which means it can hurt even when it is not the initial cause. Specialist physiotherapy involves a thorough analysis of the whole body in order to find the underlying issue that is triggering your back pain. Only then will you get better over the long term.
Having previously been a high-level sports woman (she represented New Zealand at football), Lauren Taylor studied physiotherapy at the University of Otago, qualifying in 2007. Since then, she has built up years of international experience, working in top clinics in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK. As a rugby and football physio in New Zealand, Lauren saw lots of acute back injuries; and she has also successfully treated lots of lower backs that had been problematic for years without fully resolving. Lauren is also a keen Pilates teacher – which helps, as a strong core is vital for optimal spinal function! So if you've got a dodgy back, then why not give us a call on 0207 175 0150 and book an assessment with Lauren?
What I do
Everything in your body is connected.
An injury in one place can lead to compensation and further injury in another. So when you feel pain, you need to know where the trouble stems from. At Victory, which is just two minutes from Liverpool Street and Moorgate, I find, analyse and tackle the cause of your pain, rather than just looking at the symptoms. Once I've located the problem, I can help you get better and better. No temporary fixes - I only deal in long-term solutions.
