Sports massage to keep the injuries at bay!
Hamstring tears and strains are rife in football and rugby. When you run fast, your stride length increases so the hamstrings have to work harder to control this greater range at speed – which can lead to disaster if your hamstrings are already tight!
Most players also have a dominant leg, and this can also play a role in hamstring strains, with greater muscle strength in the preferred leg potentially causing havoc to your balance, postural alignment and overall movement.
A really good massage therapist, who is skilled in working with posture and flexibility issues, can be a godsend to rugby and football players who put their hamstrings on the line each week!
With over 12 years’ experience as an MISRM Level 5 sports massage therapist, Hayley has developed an exceptionally intuitive skill set with a high level of attention to detail, which led to her working with the Canadians at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Working closely with Victory’s physios, Hayley offers outstanding care with a detailed initial consultation, treatment and structured aftercare tailored to each individual’s needs, based on the cause of your issues, rather than just the symptoms.
Hayley says “Sports massage is great for treating muscle soreness and tension after training and match days. It helps to lengthen short, tight muscle fibres, improving range of movement and flexibility and speeds up healing post trauma.”

What I do
Everything in your body is connected.
An injury in one place can lead to compensation and further injury in another. So when you feel pain, you need to know where the trouble stems from. At Victory, which is just two minutes from Liverpool Street and Moorgate, we find, analyse and tackle the cause of your pain, rather than just looking at the symptoms. Once we've located the problem, we can help you get better and better. No temporary fixes - we only deal in long-term solutions.
